(iv) The establishment of relief camps and the provision
of relief for distressed persons.
(v) The provision of medical treatment in these camps,
in hospitals or olsowhere.
(vi) The taking of adequate measures of public health and
sanitation.
(vii) The restoration and maintenance of essential public
services.
(viii) The control and distribution of supplies.
(ix) Responsibility for enemy state property and the
property of absent owners, etc. (in accordance with a separate Directive).
(x) The setting up of such wartime control (e.g.exchange control, censorship) as may be deemed necessary.
(xi) Treatment of renegades and quislings in accordance with
the terms of the spocial directive issued to you.
(xii) The establishment of currency, banking and fiscal
arrangements in accordance with separate directives.
(xiii) The control of prices and wages.
(xiv) The greatest possible use of local resources.
These activities will require the provision of both consumption and capital goods. The essential supplies required for the period of military administration aro being procured from the War Office and will be shipped to you as soon as possible,
You will be furnished with particular directivos on the more important of those matters.

(1) The reconstruction of the Colony's financial and
fiscal structure.
(ii) The re-organisation of civil courts, police and prisons. (iii) The rehabilitation of commerce and industry, including
